New Dog, New Life.

My son drove hundreds of miles to go pick up Dear Molly. She is bigger than jack was. He weighed 16 lbs. A toy breed. She is more medium weight at about 20-24 lbs. A build like his but taller and longer. She has a yelping Beagle bark if and when she uses it. She has a much more laid back temperate and loves the kids. It looks like a go!

I took lots of pictues, have the vet papers, shot record, and identity and address of the wonderful lady we got the dog from. Now let someone come and try to take her!!

Today I am going to start a sweater for her. Fairisle with dog bones and stuff in the pattern. What fun and so good not to be alone anymore.

Jeanie, I am so happy for you now that you have your new "companion".
He will be the best dressed dog anywhere with his new handknitted clothes.

Congratulations, Jeanie! She sounds like a great new addition to your household.

Might I suggest getting a microchip implanted? It is a great way to prove ownership, and also to reunite furry friends with their human guardians should they get separated. Where I am, all the shelters must by law scan for micorchips for all animals picked up or turned in.

i sure am checking into it. in the mean time i took pics of the very distinctive spotting on her underside and the spots on muzzle and nose. next to buy tags with phone numbers on them. also considering a tattoo ? what do you think? they do it on lots of animals. safe? not?

Oh, Jeanie, I am so happy for you that you have your Molly! And a dog bone fair isle doggie sweater sounds terrific! It'll be cold enough weather soon that she'll like having that sweater cuddling her with your love. Hip Hip Hooray! (clinks coffee cup in your direction)

Glad you got her! She is really cute! Microchip is a great way to identify a pet but there has to be a scanner to read it, tattoo can easily been seen , over here it is common to do it on the inside of the ear but that can be cut of, sorry to say it, inside of the thight should be safe. Our dogs have both.

Congratulations Jeanie!!! Molly is a lucky dog. I’m sure it makes you very happy. My dog, called Blanco (White), is also a rescued dog and I adore it.
