Size of Felting Projects

I thought you could shrink down aproject to make it the size you wanted? obviously not. drat. so now will start working on a new purse project. The bag is going to be a biggy after all. I know it was for a knitting bag but it is so pretty that i just wanted to felt it down and make a every day purse out of it.
Now I have to start all over again. Any good purse suggestions?? Maybe I will try to work one out myself.

Jeanie, I was just looking at web sites concerning felting knitted items. I am knitting a Booga Bag to gift my mother in law for Christmas, and wanted to learn how to felt with a dryer... I also learned you could felt on the stove top with boiling water. I thought it would interest you.

Here is the link:

Hi Jeanie,

Terry ross has a lot of cute felted purses on the crystal palace free pattern site, maybe one of those is of your taste?

She wrote on the townsend socks list, too. Maybe post your wish there, and she will jump in with advice.

The boogaj and Sophie bags are both great patterns and fairly small bags.
