Sweater for Nina

Ok I finally finished Nina's Sweater. I got the yarn a year and a half ago. When I saw the perfect starter pattern online I was inspired to do it. This used 4 skeins of an acrylic wool mix yarn and size 7 circ.

It took 2 days to knit. I intended to finish it the second day after starting, but took a couple of days off to help son, then picked it back up and did it. Was a fun knit. I used rows of Lilac lace at the top and bottom and an edging from another source.It does not pull in at waist or flare out at bottom but i pulled it in and fanned it out for the pic details on the body form. Picture is taken in the shade and is a much lighter pinks to cocoa color. sure hope she likes it.

Finished Size 12 Socks

I finally finished the big socks I was trying to make. They measure 11 inches long on the foot part. I sure hope they fit. Pretty stretchy so I think they will be ok.

Babies And Knitting

if you have babies and if you knit you have got to see this gorgeous blankie . His knitting is just so wonderful. Makes me want to get some of those lighted needles and knit that baby blankie at night I do so much knitting in the evening. You meet the greatest people online.

and finally, I saw the great ripple along. here and here and here so i had to find a good crochet project to play with too. a great big size K hook and 2 strands of red heart acrylic and away I go!
pattern i am using is the blue one on the cover of this book. i am really enjoying the larger hook and yarn.
